New User - Need help with Studio Setup

I have read about setting up the Studio using an attenuator so both the cabinet and Studio can be used at the same time and yet allow the speaker level of the cabinet to be adjusted.

Not sure I understand how to do this.

Is a diagram available or can someone provide a sketch showing how to do this?
I would be very appreciative.

Hi Bill,

I don't have a real diagram for you but the connection is fairly simple:

Amp speaker output -> Torpedo Studio Amp input

Torpedo Studio THRU - > Attenuator amp input -> attenuator speaker output -> speaker cabinet

In that configuration, the Torpedo Studio is invisible for the amp, meaning the impedance selection on the amp has to be set to match the impedance value of the speaker cabinet.

Do you know what you plan to use as an attenuator?

you can either go
amp--> torpedo spkr in

torpedo thru--->fryette amp in

fryette speaker out--->speaker ,

all using speaker cables

or

amp--->fryette amp in,

fryette speaker out--->speaker

using speaker cables and

fryette line out---> torpedo line in bal

using an xlr-xlr cable

the impedance setting on the Torpedo will not matter. The fryette input and output setting impedance setting should match your amp and speaker used

I have removed my question as I have now found out my misunderstanding of the difference between a loadbox and an attenuator.
