I'm a bit confused.
I use DAW Reaper and use as a recording system a Motu 2408 MK3 and
A Motu 8pre Firewire. These two systems are connected via Adat.
I want to REAMP via Adat my guitar signal. The raw signal is routet via Adat
From my DAW over my Motu 2408 to my Motu 8 Pre.
The Motu 8 Pre is unfortunately only equipped with analog inputs. However, it offers the possibility to use the 2 main outs as an Analog Output for my Adat reamping signal. That means the right main out of my Motu 8pre goes directly into The Replay Line In from my Torpedo Reload and the signal is forwarded over the AMp Out output to my guitar amp. The amp is set to maximum distortion and I get only a clean signal with a loud hum out of my amp. That is strange. If I directly connect the main output of my Motu 8pre to my guitar amp, I have the complete distortion sound Without hum .. as it should be ... Have already changed the cables ...
What could be the reason?
