Torpedo studio reamping?

Hi

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a Torpedo Studio.

The 'reamping' section in the manual confuses me. They describe a situation of 're-miking' - what is the point when you can just change the mic set up on the fly from within the Studio or the Remote software even after recording?

Also, is the loop described in the manual sufficient for actual reamping of the amp tone?

Thanks

The idea of re-miking is to make a recording of the DRY signal of your amp (meaning without any speaker simulation on the recorded track) and later to send that dry track into the Torpedo Studio to find the best configuration quietly.

If your first track you recorded has a speaker simulation on it, well, you can't remove it later. ;)

Got it, thanks ;)

I am used to using WoSIII plugin which obviously allows you to change miking and cab configurations after a recording since it's in the DAW.
