Hi all, the Torpedo CAB FAQ says...

Voltage: 12 to 15 V DC. The power supply needs to be Direct Current (DC), you cannot use an Alternating Current (AC) power supply. You can use either regulated or unregulated power supply.

...though I might be using a power supply that offers 18V DC, will that work?

Merci!

Hi, djd100! Well, I've measured the output of my Torpedo C.A.B.'s stock PSU a month ago and the multimeter showed around 18,15 volts DC. If nothing burned after a year of using, I assume it's ok ;)

Thanks, I should've thought to measure the Two Notes supply (DOH)!

This 18.15V PSU is unregulated, and was tested without load, AFAIK. This means the actual voltage when loaded (ie, when connected to the C.A.B.) is lower, less than 15V actually.

I suggest you follow the indicated ratings, or risk damaging the unit.

Sorry, I disassembled it now and there's only a transformer, an electrolytic capacitor and 4 diodes that form a diode bridge and 4 empty holes for filtering capacitors I suppose. So, my fault here, it's really unregulated.
