Captor into C.A.B

Hi,

in the user manual for the Captor it says the following:

When connecting the LINE output to a balanced jack input, use a balanced TRS jack cable if possible. Using an unbalanced TS jack cable (a standard guitar or patch cable) is possible, but may lead to added noise or interferences.

But when I check the user manual for the C.A.B it doesn't specify if the input on it is balanced or unbalanced. Maybe I'm just missing the concept of something (I am very new to the whole recording thing).

Hi Pikaty,

in the technical specifications of the Torpedo CAB, you will find that the CAB Line input and output are balanced. ;)

I should write and article someday about balanced VS unbalanced, but for the moment you can take a look at that one. In short, balanced systems are less sensible to noise, which is important when using long cable lengths or playing music in hostile environments:
