I can imagine that one thread was a giant defragmentation error waiting to happen on their servers. It was like 2+ years old and had 1/6 of the forums posts in it

I think it was seven years old ?
Ann was pretty huge for a thread about nothing.

Always good to see you people around. I usually look around here once or twice a week.

I bought a Mesa Heartbreaker last week. I'm getting into vintage sounds again. Mostly 60's / 70's stuff.

Now that I''m done with school, I can get back to designing frankenstein amplifier builds and working on my S10 while danno and doug continue to run an alcohol trade scheme for sex and booze

Passes a NC inspection with flying colors but fails a Maryland inspection with flying colors, she's quite special

I plan to work on it and keep it. The s10 will eventually get a 377 sbc and a TKO with a cut down ford 8.8 rearend. I do plan on getting another car next year though. As much as I'd like for it to be a C6 ZO6, I'll probably be looking at a lexus IS.

This year is the first year I've picked up a guitar in a very long time. I think 2013 was the last year I was playing on a daily basis and learning new material. Uni didn't really allocate any time for music and I certainly saw it more as a study distraction than anything else.

Can't have a collector's tag and drive on any highway or DD it in MD. If you're pulled over on the highway or caught DD a collectors tag you're in deep shit.

Besides, it gives me an excuse to lower it, convert the front end to 2 piece hubs, etc.

What's in your S-10 now, glpg80? I started a V8 project on an '86 short bed regular cab eight years ago but haven't finished. I'm down to body and interior work now. I'm a dealer tech so by the end of the day or the weekend I can't stand to look at cars anymore. I'm hoping to get back on it this spring.

A rebuilt 88 iron duke. Original motor had a crack in the block from what we determined. Couldn't keep antifreeze out of the damn crankcase to save my life. New headgasket, heads resurfaced, you name it. doug gave quite a few pointers on it back then before I decided to just yank the whole damn thing and start over.

To hell with an LS swap is all I'm saying

Rather find an old 400 sbc block and build a carbed 377. As long as wideband o2 sensors are in the headers I'm good to tune a carb. Otherwise I have to tune it based upon how much it's burning my eyes

Mine started as an Iron Duke. It now has a .060 over 350, angle milled Camaro heads, aluminum intake, 4 barrel and 700r4.

This was several years ago when I was replacing sheet metal.

Here's a pic of mine as of fall of last year. It's getting lowered and ZQ8 wheels in the next month. Finalizing the parts list as we speak.

I'd like to build a 377 with dart pro 1's 215cc worked over, single plane intake, wiseco pistons, callies crank and rods, and an 850 holley dp. Who knows, maybe one day?

That's the cleanest 80's S-10 I've seen since, well, the 80's! I wish I would have started with something solid.

Thanks for the compliments! I started with a rust bucket and from your pictures, you have a body that is in MUCH better shape than what I started with. I replaced the hood, driver side door is from an 88 truck, installed a solid rear glass pane, new driver side fender, shaved the antenna, rollpan, new front bumper and grill, and has had a frame off paint job - color is PPG snow white. When I got the truck, it had a cracked intake, no exhaust, heater core had leaked into the floorboard, needed all new window trim, needed all new brakes and brake lines, new radiator, all new hoses and water pump (previous owner used tap water), and it had a bent wheel. What you're seeing is the result from many many years of working on it.

In the next month I am rebuilding the front end, upgrading the brakes, new sway bars, new springs, new shocks, and new seats.

I've replaced the fenders and one door, the other new door is painted and ready to hang. You can't see it from my picture, but the rockers and cab corners are non existent, and there is quite a bit of work to be done to the bed. I'm thinking about finishing the mechanical work myself and just paying a body shop to deal with the sheet metal and paint it. I have the sheet metal and I'm capable of doing it but just don't have the time or the energy anymore.

Dan, I saw your picture yesterday but didn't read what you wrote. Congrats!

So last I heard of Danno's saga you were getting over something serious health wise and stopped flipping amps and guitars. You good now and what are you playing through since obviously you dont have the modded rec?

These days it’s the Engl Power ball. Prs Archon. And Evh EL34 stealth.
Pretty much exclusively on the ESP Kamikaze.
So much tone it’s insane.

Sold it about a month ago. Just raise some money for the wedding.
Had it about 5 years. I was just getting great tones from the Archon and EVH.
Then I got that Engl from Nate.
Had way more then I needed or could use. Sold it to GRXBUSA.
pretty sure he still has it up for sale here now. No idea why it hasn’t sold yet.
Thing is a crushing machine.
