Dear amp builders and hobbyist... i came across this silvery capacitor thats labeled sprague and on the body it has an extra plastic wrapped around... i did a search and found its a wet tantalum capacitors thats polarized +
As i am now in the phase of installing new parts to my old VHT pittbull classic i wonder if these wet tantalum capacitors would be better to change?
I have ready about wet tantalum falling into same catergory of an electrolytic cap but just wonder how will these silvery capacitors stand out in the field of abuse for 20 years ?
Should i change them as well ? But i couldnt find these spraque wet tantalum caps as i wonder if electrolytic capacitors will do the flawless subsitute ?
