My day filming Al DiMeola

Wow, I would kill to have a job like yours!
Especially filming a Return to Forever show!!
I wore out the old VHS tape I had, of a RTF
concert that was recorded in 1976 by the BBC in England.
My favorite song off of the Romantic Warrior LP
is "The Dual of the Tyrant and the Jester"
Great stuff, really opened my eyes to Progressive
music.
Al Dimeola, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and
Lenny White, are "Musician's Musicians"

I didn't know you had such an amazing job

It must be a wonderful experience to meet Al DiMeola! Thanks for sharing.

Part of my job is working with Actors and actresses all day long, but whenever I get the chance to film or photograph music its the best. Here are some pix and a final clip of my day with Al Di Meola. My job was to film him specifically and to record all the audio for the video portion of what was happening. Turns out he was an extremely nice dude and gave me a pick which I thought was cool. This was a while back but i wasnt on rig talk then or I would have posted

Nice job, if you ever get a gig like this and need a videographer or editor, give me a call.

Thats cool! Some great pics and a simple setup for awesome tones and playing. That PRS is beautiful :inlove:

Al has some crazy timings. I started listening to him in the early 90's. Glad he is playing electric more now.
