Well that's my B-day and I would love to see these guys. There are 5-6 people ever who have changed music the way Eddie did, fewer than that still alive. Long Live EVH :m17: :rawk:

I really hope the new VH album is good. I know its not the same without michael but at the current state music is in, Van Halen could breath some fresh air into airwaves. Again i just hope its good.

Ahhh man... I stopped some juicy tones coming from Kings X "Live Love in London" to play this video... Jump is SO friggin LAME...

Used to be a fanboi... But am I the only one who doesn't car about VH anymore?

Though there are a few highlights post-1984, VH as I knew and loved it died before that. Fair Warning was Eddie's swan song as a mind-blower. After that, it was just a few tasty morsels here and there mixed-in with the mush...

thats lame and eddie looks jacked up again. Prob dropping back into party mode cause he knows the future is bleak. I also need Michael in the mix.

No he is not jacked up. Sober totally. You will see. Album will rock.

same EVH amps? or has his sound changed a bit?

WTF?!?!?!?

De-railed before the train ever left the station!!

I am hopeful an will stay optimistic till I hear some new tracks, even so, I might still go see them live.

Im sick and tired of hearing about Micheal Anthony!

MA is gone!...adios....outta there!...aint coming back  Of course it wont be the same. Why have judgement on something that you havent even heard yet? Give it a chance for cryin' out loud. Ed is sober and probably feels like a major jackass for his past behavior. Alcoholism and drugs are no joke...especially when you're a gazillionaire. The guy is a rock legend and has a prodigy son that has grew up his entire life in the studio and around musicians. I think they both have something to prove wouldnt you think?

Who knows...this music may be 'fresh' with the added input of a younger person in the band

I'm looking forward to it

Same thing could be said for all those who keep sayin' "this is gonna rock; be great; etc." Who really knows until they've heard it? I'm just looking at it from an odds perspective. The deck is always stacked against a band that has been around for a long time and that has had so many mis-steps in the past 15 years. Not to mention, being so much older now....nothing is a guarantee. It's funny how so many call us skeptics "haters." Hell, I'd love to see them release a great comeback album....it's just unlikely, that's all. And, it doesn't help that an important piece is missing. Even still, I'd love for the next VH album to be kick ass. But, until I actually hear it, I'll have my doubts. And, that's strictly based on experience in these types of situations. It's not the 80's anymore....who knows if the magic is even still there? I personally don't expect much, but I can only hope to be pleasantly surprised.
