I use it only for V1

Peter,
What is the reason for switching?
Do you purely like the tone of the reissue mullard cv4004 in V1 ,
Or is it the low noise and low microphonics?

Thanks

I got a new Hagen from Peter last month, from what i can hear the new Hagen has a little less gain and compression and a little more headroom and more open dynamic sound. The difference is not a big one but still audible. However i don't know if it has to do with the tube itself of with the fact that my old Hagen had slightly different circuitry than the new one, from the photos i made of the old one and compared to the new, the pots have more leads to the circuitboard. In my opinion the changes are good and i love my Hagen to death.

Cheers, Grigoriy

In my experiance its what i was looking for.

Its more open, clear, smooth and balanced. In my previous setup, i dont remember wich preamp tubes, i got a fizz and compression i didn't like.
