The Perfect Headphone Travel Rig

I am trying to put together a great headphone rig to practice late at night and to travel with. Right now, I’ve got:

Boss MS3 -> Quilter ToneBlock 201 -> Digitech CabDryVR -> Behringer Mixer -> Headphones

The Digitech unit is inexpensive and while this setup is decent, it’s a far cry from hearing my amp live, especially when it comes to solos. The single notes sound very compressed and ‘lifeless.’ Would there be a massive difference in tone if I went:

Boss MS3 -> Quilter ToneBlock 201 -> Two Note C.A.B. -> Headphones

Regards,

Jonathan

Well, we believe you'll improve your tone, but it's hardly an objective answer that I can give. ^^

Can you ask a local dealer for a CAB to try?

Thanks...unfortunately I have no local dealer in Chicago that I've been able to find. I guess another question would be:

Is the application I'm looking for something the C.A.B. was designed to do?

Went ahead and bought the C.A.B.

So far I’m pretty happy with the tone through the headphones but I definitely need to do some tweaking.
