I play modern hard rock tuned to drop C and I am looking to try something other than my Fortin Grind.

I'm a big fan of the more mid focused, chewy stuff.

Any of the Friedman boosts do the trick?
Soul Food/Klon perhaps?

Thanks.

BONUS POINTS IF THE BOOST HAS AN EXTERNAL RELAY FOR SWITCHING AMP CHANNELS AT THE SAME TIME THE BOOST IS ENGAEGD/DISENGAGED.

For an 800; LWA burning spirit, SD1/OD3, Timmy based circuits. Also try bluesbreaker and blues driver styles.

For a jube; klon style circuits (especially the mythical) 808/Ts9 style circuits.

Mythical circuit? Can you give me an example?

I just use a Boss GE7... everything else kinda distorts the preamp too much- but ymmv I tune to concert pitch also

Original 80s SD1; to me a little better than the Taiwan version. OD1X..super quiet and keeps your low end intact plus can add a little more if needed. Not mushy.
I had the Dragon and how I dialed it, sounded exactly like my OD1X. VFE was noisier so I sold it. Good pedal though.

How is the Waza SD1 with that little bass bump switch?

I think you can never go wrong with an sd-1. sounds killer and ez on the wallet :)

I have a Waza SD1. 99% of the time I prefer the switch in the stock setting. The one time I thought the custom setting offered something above the stock setting was with a stock JCM800. It sounded killer imo. It kept the bite that an SD1 has with a Marshall, but it added some usable push and low end heft. I have no idea about it with the Jubilee, though.

VFE Dragon for my JCM800 2204 and JMP Master volume 2203.

I’ve got to say, I have yet to plop my TS-Mini in front of any amp and not been pleased with the sound. For more transparent boost and less low-end cut, the TC Spark Mini cannot be beat.
