I don't generally use a chorus these days, but this one does sound good. I had a CE-1 back in the day.

Some. For me generally only on clean tones.

My search ended with the Vahlbruch Chorus several months ago though. Incredible not just on cleans but actually sounds good with high gain. Was looking into the PastFX mini stuff and then was recommended the Vahlbruch, was sold. To the point that all gas was done with the chorus search.

Yep, my chorus is always on, it’s subtle and not really noticeable unless I turn it off. Love to add just a bit of depth but not overbearing.

Dean DeLeo STP Core tones…so delicious. I’ve had a Boss CH-1 since the 90’s, and love it in stereo. Also have the EHX Small Clone for that vibe.

Yamaha symphonic preset is the best chorus I’ve found for high gain.

Love my little blue MXR analog chorus. Use it for cleans as well as that 80's Rock chorus sound

Grobert The One Chorus is what I've been using, killer 80's chorus

Have always had one. My #1 chorus goal is Alex Lifeson's work on Hemispheres.
Those first few chords - that's perfection imo.

The Boss Waza CE-2 comes really close but there's no replacing the original CE-1.

The one you posted HEMI is meant as a sort of tribute I think based on the cosmetics.

i really like the byoc CE-2 copy i picked up. its not going to get you into lexicon/eventide land quality wise, but it really gets that ce-2 tone.

Lexicon PCM81 chorus + reverb setting. You have 6 delay settings and they can all be configured for chorus effect and panned hard left/right.

Check out 10:47:

For chorus out front I like the MXR analog chorus. It just works.

I’m not a fan of the boss CE-1 myself. Once I heard the lexicon it was no comparison.

the boss stuff isn't as hi-fi and gives you a touch of a mids boost imo when engaged, but its a unique sound people know and seem to like, even if its a bit "metallic" to some ears.

Alex used the battery operated Electric Mistress. I purchased one back in 1990 for $25.00 USD, sold it in 1995 for $350.00 USD. May be worth more now, I don't know? My favorite chorus is the CE-1 and the Rockman chorus. I'm looking to get a pedal, as I've grown to dislike rack gear. Back when I played metal music, the Intellifex was my go-to.

Yep, huge Chorus fan here, and I have tons of them. It is hard to say what my favorite is. I think here lately I have been more into the pitch detune type chorus ala EVH, but also really like the multi-voice choruses like the Intellifex.

I have a boring old ch-1 but apart from the slight noise issue mine imparts in the chain, I like it just barely there because it adds a sort of bite to the tone. I thought that might be my imagination but glad to hear other people hearing that too. The boss ce-2b for bass is also a super affordable pedal and is I think one value removed from the ce-2 with a tone pot.

That 'metallic' quality is definitely NOT present in a vintage CE-2. With a CE-3 and CH-1, yes.

Big fan of subtle chorus on cleans and occasionally as a guilty pleasure or for matching original tones, on high gain as well.
I tried a whole bunch, still own a whole bunch, and sold the MXR Analog Chorus (light blue one) twice. Loved the sound, but hated the buffer; it sucks tremendous high-end when turned off. Tried it pre-amp, in the fx-loop, in a true bypass box's loop, with different buffered pedals in front of it, or without...

Another thing when using high gain with chorus, is that you need the right one, or it can severely 'neuter' your tone in terms of punch.
I almost exclusively use chorus pedals in the fx-loop of any amp.
I had an EHX NeoClone, that seemed to be almost in the wrong phase for high gain, creating a very limp, distortion.
Even the rather refined Anadime Providence chorus pedals -I had both the ADC-3 and ADC-4 and sold them- didn't play well with high gain. Lovely with clean tones, just not that great distorted. Same with the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe; kinda clinical for guitar, but at least no tone-suck. Also had and sold the tiny Ammoon Chorus (too much mid-boost and bass-cut) and the Deltalab SC-1 (don't even remember how it sounded, I just remember it was a letdown).

Chorus pedals I do like and that worked well with high gain:
vintage Ibanez BC9, vintage MXR Micro Chorus, vintage Boss CE-2, vintage DOD 690 (with the cool ramp-up/down function between the 2 speeds), vintage DOD FX-60, Mooer Ensemble King, Zoom Choir 5050...and, aside from the horrible buffer/tone-suck, the MXR Analog Chorus.
