Everybody must be broke?

Everyone bought up everything they wanted last year when things were selling like crazy.

Not to mention the crazy prices now.

I have been buying tons of parts and such to make tons of pedals myself, but haven't bought anything commercial in awhile.

I think this place exaggerates the used prices, I’ve found all sorts of deals the last two years. I posted my Craigslist a few weeks ago and everyone agreed there was a bunch of good stuff. The real good deals are gone in hours. I got lucky with my iic+ that I saw it posted “a moment ago”, I pulled over and messaged the dude, he hit me up a few hours later telling me 20 other people already hit him up so I got super lucky.

That’s why every week there is another one closing here and the ones usually with a line to get in are now half full. Restaurants are a tough business, I worked at a pizza place for years.
No doubt, even tougher now. The wife and I used to eat out a few nights a week until we moved to the Poconos. The restaurants here suck. I would rather stay home and cook now.

Used amps that I can buy new are of no real interest to me, even with supply chain back orders. Now if I see an original Uberschall, I may do something stupid to my savings account.

I feel like the market is coming down in some ways, on some things. A lot guys trying to maxxx out profit on their stuff, and the market just isn't there. I think there are going to be some guys pretty dissapointed that they decided to buy stuff at hyped up prices.

Those inflated gas, food, real estate prices getting in the way.

But it has drastically slowed vs just a few months back. No more stimmy cash to burn methinks.

Asked at my local lumber yard when are the prices going to come down? They said when people stop buying it.
Just like anything else, its worth what people are willing to pay for it.

The Canadian trucker thing is going to affect lumber for sure.

Oh didn’t know that
Most people have no idea that it wasn't free money(at least for individuals, businesses got free printed money), because most don't read the bills themselves(I don't mean that as an insult to anyone(we all have other things to do)). Fortunately for me, I try to read every one. People are going to get a very rude awakening when they find out they owe that money back to the gov. Fortunately, if you make under a certain amount they will forgive a percentage of the stimulus you owe. It's going to be interesting to see how they handle so many people being in debt to the government. Perhaps a economic reckoning to bring prices back to reality is in store, but I doubt they will let that happen.

I pretty much put all of the stimulus money I received in savings, and haven't touched it. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop when the gov't starts handing out "free money".

As far as gear, outside of a few pedals, I bought a tele that I had been looking for, and I'm probably returning it, as I'm not totally in love with it.
I'd like to sell a couple of things, but I don't really need to sell them, so they'll just collect dust for a while.

If enough people get stung by owing stimulus money back, rest assured, there will be efforts to forgive the debt for certain people. We can't have personal responsibility now. The ones I think who will crushed the most will be those getting those monthly child tax credits and who really plan on getting a big refund (i.e. like to give the gov't. a free loan) each year. Even if they don't owe anything, they plan on a big refund each year and won't be getting one.

I got child stimulus and all the stimulus all year long. Didn't need it. But liked it. I got more back in taxes this year than last year. So maybe we can chill on the fear inspiring..

It's not fear inspiring when its simply stating fact. It's great that you fell into a financial category where you were forgiven, but many of us we won't be.

I’m happy to say I got ZERO stimulus. It kind of sucked watching everybody else get checks in the mail but I’m all good with it now
I’m in the same boat.

I didn’t qualify for anything stimulus and did not get child tax credits.

I fear for the ones who got the child tax credits not realizing they will owe that back come tax time. I had friends at work doing everything they can in their power to opt out of the child tax credits because we get fucked enough come tax time as it is.

I will owe taxes this year more than ever. Worked a lot of overtime and jumped a tax bracket by accident. I made donations to lots of dog shelters last year to write off but it won’t be enough.
