Cameron Aldrich VS Aldrich clone clip

Here is a quick clip I made a while back of my cameron aldrich modded plexi vs an aldrich clone amp I did, pretty damn close I think !

Cameron's on the bottom , clones on top

I hear a little more sizzle on the clone , a few small twists on the eq and gain controls make it even closer !

What a great build. Differences are so slight. Both amps have that slippery, greasy, I-could-play-this-amp-for-hours sound going on in spades.

Yea man, zero need for a boost. It has that boosted feel and tightness straight in

With tolerances in parts I can't imagine another original getting any closer either.

It's pretty much identical , you can dial them in beyond close. Even closer than this clip I did

OP, what are the differences between the two? I imagine the iron is different. Any changes in the circuit itself? Or same circuit, just different components type/brand? Did you build the clone from a schematic or from your specific amp?

And how close is the Aldrich schem floating around to the one you have?

Yea different iron , the clone amp has heyboers , the original amp has dagnalls. Circuit is identical otherwise. I cloned it from the superlead in the clip (thats an actual cameron aldrich mod) I'd have to see the schematic floating around to see how different or similar it is....

I always forget which Aldrich was 4 stage with no cathode follower. Does this have a cathode follower?

At this point I'd sleep with a Peavey VTM...I'd have to pay to sleep with either of those.
