I adjust the reverb up in a patch and then save, when I switch to another patch and the reload the new saved patch., the reverb setting has gone back to what it was previously.

I've made patches before and they save correctly... this is shitting me to tears though.

No idea why I can't take the reverb from 20% up to 70% and simply save.

Is this sort of thing normal?

Forgot to add it has been recently serviced with new battery

Have you checked the "Mem Protect" setting ? Page 2-10 of the manual.
Yep that's turned off.

When I adjust the patch and store it says "Storing data..." like it's saving the preset properly.

It's only when I load a different preset and then go back that I realise it doesn't actually save.

All other settings save, it's only 0.4 Controls FX Mix (reverb) that resets back to what it was.

So weird.

I suggest a factory reset :
  1. Power down the unit.
  2. Simultaneously hold the DOWN and TAP buttons while powering on the unit.
  3. Once you see "Warning! Press STORE to clear the SRAM" release the buttons.
  4. Press and release the Store button to clear the SRAM,
  5. Press and release any other button to restart the unit.

Great thanks for that, i'll give that a try and see how we go.

I'll double check that too but pretty certain I was on 1.1 from memory. Thanks so much for your help

Also, check to see if there's one of those small chip Lithium batteries in there; I can't remember if there is but in other rack gear I've had, this is a sign that the backup battery is going out.

thanks mate, will do.

I tried everything above and the issue is still there.

It's only 1 part that doesn't save.. ridiculous.
I can just turn it up each time but I hate that everything else works fine ?

Coin battery is dead it seems. Upgrading the firmware would also be a good idea. I can’t remember if the coin battery is for only when the unit was powered off or for all time when the unit is in use.

Also what about other saves? Can you edit other patches and save them? It does sound like a battery issue, but if everything else is saving fine then lets go back to the patch itself. Have you tried duplicating the patch your using from the original preset and then saving in another location? I would try that and report back.

Here's a quick video of what's going on.
When I change patches and then go back, it hasn't saved the change on the reverb.

Other saves are all fine, I'll try replacing the battery anyway to see if that helps :)

Did a whole system factory reset and that didn't seem to help.
Tried saving the original preset in numerous locations, that didn't do it either.

I love the sound of this unit but stuff like this kills me ?

Ok some more testing, the reverb adjust in other algorithms is fine... it's just the Chorus+Rvb one that doesn't let me adjust and save... so strange

Now this has happened… ?‍♂️

Just pay the tech to recap it with 105*C Nichicon caps all over including the power supply.

I still want to recap mine.
