Anyone know him? Seems hasn't been on since March.
I believe seller said he purchased from drumdude ( who was friends with Marc and had him build it for him for a project he was doing with the actual Doug Aldrich.
Sounds like a cool story, lol.

Just wanted to know a bit more about the Amp from OO if he's around.

Arrived today.

Confirmed 1988 1959s Reissue. W serial.

No time to play or tweak yet. busiest meeting day of week :(

Initial impression from 2 mn strumming is very bright and aggressive.
 
Congrats man. I've had a bunch of Aldrich's and they all seem to be super consistent and killer. Super clear and aggressive. I had a particularly monstrous one, a super early one he did in 93/94. No goop and had a white headshell.
 
Been dialing her in for a bit. Some odd to me settings (zero presence, low treble) and figuring out the other controls, but I'm finding the magic. Bright, thickish, little compressed and gainy ?

Will check out guts this weekend. Will report on color of goop.

As said before they’re aggressive and just cool to have around for inspiration. Let us know how bad it’s gooped.
 
Drumdude is Brett Chassen. A great drummer. He and Bob Kulick had or have a studio and work with big names.

Congrats! If you could pull the board and measure all the values that would be much appreciated, shouldn’t be too difficult. Kidding aside, how much different is it from the clips of psychodave’s one? His sounds like a demon on a bunch of speed.
