He finally responded after I raised a case with Paypal and is saying he'll get it shipped "soon" and has been delayed due to his work schedule (not sure why that's my problem) If you're not prepared to ship once you receive payment you should not offer it for sale (IMHO). At the very least you should communicate with the buyer. At this point I'm not getting the warm and fuzzies so I asked for a refund which he doesn't want to do. I'll keep everyone posted

Dude, COMMUNICATION!! $1700 and its too much to ask for you to drop a note to say "hey I had an emergency at work so it'll be delayed a few days". I would've understood that. I pinged you TWICE with no answer and you still didn't answer until I opened a dispute with Paypal which finally got your attention (I guess that motivated you to finally respond) I think every member on this board would agree that a little communication goes a LONG way. So calm down, realize two days is well within an acceptable time frame and enjoy your nice piece of gear.

So u went somewhere for 72 hours without cell service? Never thought to send a quick "hey its delayed" note theu the message board here where ALL our communications took place?? Or maybe "hey i should get this shipped before i go on media blackout". Are you really that guy?? The delay is not the issue, the zero communication is the issue and I'm SO glad this is public so people can see how you treat buyers. Good luck going forward
I would never ever want to make any situation worse - only want to make things better. I love this forum. I’ve never personally met anyone on here, but I love the vibe, love the energy. With eBay and Reverb such complete sh*t-shows these days, this forum seems to be the last tiny island of good folks trying to get clean gear to one another at fair prices. Not looking for praise or sympathy, but I for one can relate to having a job where - literally - I can be yanked away from my kitchen counter with max 60 minutes notice and I’m out for 48 hrs. When that happens, my concerns are: 1) my S.O.S. call for my dogs; and 2) what sort of sh*t will I see in the next 48 hrs that I can’t unsee for the rest of my life. I would NEVER short or cheat a forum member, but no offense - that piece of gear that needs to get to Fed-X is on the ‘list’ somewhere behind thing #1 and thing #2.
If this Fractal arrives in as advertised condition I really hope this thread gets buried in the Classified form under dozens (hundreds?) of smooth transactions.
This deal here is EXACTLY why I only deal with my bros or those that are known entities on this forum.
And why I have just sat on my hoard of gear instead of cashing in.
Seller should have known to contact buyer when he couldn't ship right away. Period.
And I seriously considered buying this. Glad I didn't. And I won't trust this seller for shit since he is making excuses instead of admitting his fault.
