Here comes the SLO pedal

I almost decided to get one of the purple ones just for fun but since I have a 2002 SLO 100 it would just be a novelty really but this video changed my mind but I'm sure its cool for someone looking for the vibe. Go to 3:20 for comparison to the SLO 30

The SLO pedal into the victory doesn't even sound in the ballpark to the SLO30 drive. It was decently close with the SLO pedal into the SLO30 clean, but is concerning to me that the pedal seems to lack some bass and punch.

Lack of Bass and punch was one of the big reasons I sold the MI audio Crunchbox V2. I like overdrive and distortion that really envelope your sound, the big muff is a great example of this.

Would love a pedal sized SLO normal channel (with clean and crunch switch) preamp with tubes. Don't see that happening though. A version of the SLO normal channel in a SS design would be cool to.

It's nice to see Mike being able to spend time on design. I know GL has been around the block and back again with product endorsements, but a guy has to make a living. Anyway, perhaps he's going to plug it in to his randall/mojave/time machine/screamin demon/esp peavey with lynchbacks for the next tour.

I don't know what you guys are going on about, this thing sounds like shit to my ears. Flubby, hollow mids. It's essentially the pedal format of that mini amp but smaller. George was already "amazed" when he demo'd the micro amp and " couldn't stop playing" and now this pedal comes along and completely changes his mind about amps in a box! He's seen the light!! .. then he does back to his TS and Superlead. None of the demos sound like the amp at all.

That's what everyone is waiting for.. a tube preamp SLO pedal. Price it around 559$. give it an FX loop, done.

well they are using greenbacks with the pedal and v30s with the amp, not exactly sure how that makes any sense at all doing a comparison video :dunno:

theres just nothing i find that exciting with the amp or the pedal. dry and boxy that turns mushy with any kind of gain. it sounds pretty good for the dirty blues kind of stuff but eh. i went in with an open mind thinking maybe ill finally hear what makes this amp the king of amps but no

This video is rediculous. Different speaker, different power section…. They didn’t even try. Terrible. The Thorn video along with the usual suspects all sounded good.

I thought the same, I was like, why bother? Apples to pizza comparison

The Andertons demo is just their typical crap video.
Pete Thorn's and Alberto Barrero's clips are both great.

I want to try one, but a guy locally is selling one for like 2 grand. but seems to be the going rate. ?‍♀️

2 fucking grand!? for like the most fragile pedal ever made? God fuck that. Almost as overpriced as an SLO
