Well that comparison pretty much killed my GAS for a Wizard. They sounded pretty close with the Hellion sounding a bit more raw. I liked the Hellion better because of that. Now I just need to sit tight and wait for my name to make it to the top of the list.

How would you compare the Hellion to the Friedman SSv2 you recently had? Based on your clip, the Hellion sounds much more meaner. All the SS clips I hear remind me of a Jose Marshall mixed with an Uber for some reason.

The Hellion is capable of much more aggression and rawness. The SSv2 was a cool amp. Best Friedman I've played actually. Definitely less smoothed-out like a BE Deluxe or something. The Hellion has ten times the amount of gain and is super tight. No boost needed nor wanted. I tend to like it with the clipping setting on the low side, more open that way. The SS didn't have the punch of the Hellion.
