Here's the guitar and the headstock placed together, and placed on top of the shipping box. It was packaged in a gig bag with brown packing paper on either side. Look at the size of the box compared to the size of the guitar

I was under the impression that these used scarf joints. Hope you get sorted out. No fun.
 
Some shipping company must be practicing beating packages to death prior to the release of those $15k Hammett V's.

I was thinking of the LP that Brent had repaired. Pretty pricey repair but turned out nice.....
