They both fuck hard. Both 100W.

Nick Aldrich mod which If I ever sold, would sell in minutes in the classifieds.

Enmity Mod which contains two prototype designs in one amp. Amp brings the heat.
Gotta ask what is the story with no front pin stripe in that Marshall? That's a cool look.

Not anywhere near xmas yet, but here's some red to go along with the green. :D

Here’s an original photo of someone who put it up for sale online a long time ago. It was sold to someone in Florida and somehow it then ended up in California guitar center since it was vintage which is then how I found it. It was listed as not working for parts. I scored it for $1000 with blown filter caps and bad corroded switches with a stained chassis.

It’s the original headshell but it was retolexed in elephant tolex a very long time ago I believe to be sometime in the 80s. When they retolexed it, they went right over the stripe slot. I think what happened is someone was trying to pass it off as an early rare JCM800 as the faceplate that was original to the amp was also changed out to the 2 hole version as seen in this pic probably in the 80s. The original board was stolen and in its place a 2203 board was put in.

I converted the faceplate back to a 4 hole as original, recapped it, replaced a few bad pots I found, and replaced all preamp sockets as the originals were worn. I basically went through it top to bottom with a fresh bill of health before I began using it as a mod platform.

Great look

Great look
thanks ??

I’ve not replaced the headshell because I like the sleeper beat to shit look. You plug in and all hell breaks loose. I could have added a ton of features and switches but because it’s mine I tuned it to be set it and forget it style with only oem knobs and nothing else in the front.

I am one of those that finds my settings and I don't fuck with it much unless its not delivering. I don't want a bunch of switches/choices once I've found MY settings. Then you can make wolves in sheeps clothing...6 knobs of destruction.

It must be a Matt thing because that’s exactly what I did. I went above and below nominal values and set each component, style, and composition based on what I thought it needed through MY cabinets and MY ears. Money was not the driver - the relays I use are literally gold plated and rated to 1000VDC for the leakage values I wanted. The amps a complete monster and it’s borderline unhinged.

I would keep the look too

Aside from some small stuff this is the main rotation. 2203 special sauce clone on a mesa road king cab, v30’s and M65’s. 1985 no stripe DRG on its matching 2x12. 1979 2203 on its matching blackback 1960a.

2014 BE100 I modded with a Depth control and switchable Depth freq(JJ and Stock) and negative feedback mod. The MXR Flanger is a AC cord 70's model I modded with a 18v power jack/new filter cap), Phase 90 is the CS 74 HW model.......Scumback M75s in the CAA cab....Can be run w/d/w or stereo, RedSeven Multi Stereo Line Mixer and GCP/Ground Link control the system...Been living in stereo lately slaving the BE with the Reactive Load IR through the rack and into the 2 1x12s.....Mesa Studio Preamp is my cleans.
