Download the OS .zip file from:

here

Unzip it and pop the OS-update file onto a Kemper-formatted USB stick (format it on the Kemper - follow the prompts).

Pop the stick back into the Kemper and follow the prompts to update the unit.

Tip:
If there are any Rigs you don't want to risk losing, drag them into Rig Manager as a backup first. If you can't get RM to recognise your machine, or just if you want to, you can first create a backup file on the USB stick. Pop the stick into the machine and, you guessed it, follow the prompts.

This backup can be restored in the future to the unit by, you know by now, popping the stick into the Kemper and following the prompts.
Thanks man, I'll check that out. I'm sure I have a thumbstick around somewhere but I think I'll just go out and buy one that I know is formatted correctly. Most of my computer equipment is the same stuff I bought back in 2002. If I could do this update in MS-DOS I'd be good to go.

You cannot buy one in the Kemper format; it has to be formatted on the Kemper.

Pro tip:
Don't use a stick that's high-capacity. The larger it is, the longer things take. 1GB is actually more than enough for a lifetime of Kemper use. I don't think that size is available anymore, so just use the smallest you've got or can buy.

Sweet thanks man. Sounds like it’s a good time to go through my profiles anyways. The kemper came with a bunch of 3rd party profiles and none of the “stock” ones, so I think it’s time to get them all in one place and back them up.
I really just use rig manager when I’m playing so none of the profiles I even use are actually on the kemper lol

Hey, I do the same man.

My Kemper has 1 Profile on it, which IIRC is the barest-possible minimum.

By my calculation, that means you type roughly 44 times faster than I do.

I'm sure it did, but it wouldn't take much to trounce me; I'm about as slow a typist as one could imagine.
