Guitar One magazine did a cover story on him and called him "Eddie Van Halen on cornbread".

BP is the man! I became a fan when I watched a live concert he did on TV years ago. He blew me away.

I find this far more inspiring when it comes to tone...everything about it from the fretless application of vibrato to the buzz on the fingerboard. I've heard some really good clips of Oud players but they don't have the amount of buzz heard here. His intonation is worth a mention too.

They ate pretty sweet . I’ve studied some iud application for guitar and it’s super killer ideas to apply . Great stuff

Brad is the man. He was great live, and just a fantastic picker. I dip my toes in the country side from time to time and his playing is really difficult to copy. his use of open strings in weird places twists up my brain lol

He’s a huge reason I’m buying my first Tele later this month.

When I first started playing my uncle got me into the Hellecasters and EJ, because of them I’ve always had an interest and admiration for that playing, even though country has never been my thing. And then you got guys like Brent Hinds who can throw the chicken pickin into a drop tuned metal song and it’s about time I start digging into that kind of playing.

That huge Tele tone definitely got me hankering to jump into that world. I was watching Shredding with Shifty last week and Brad was on, there’s one point he hits an open E, he’s not even mic’d up and you can just hear how fucking huge it sounds, just a bit of breakup and a Tele straight in. I cannot wait to fuck around with those kinds of tones.
