Anyone else think the internet is making them schizo?

I swear I need to stop using the internet. I think psychological profiling or knowledge about users by corps like Google is far, far beyond what people think is possible.
I feel full schizo at this point with shit I see in regards to what pops up in feeds on various media platforms and my own thoughts that predate seeing that shit.

The trigger for this post was a couple nights ago I had a dream about this person I met about 12 years ago. She had some life situation that I had thought about occasionally, as in a "I hope I don't wind up like that" situation. I had not thought of this person in many years, today, I'm looking at Instagram and a "recommended" user is shown, and it is her. The instagram is 4 pictures. Now I know you can say- "maybe you saw this instagram before and just didn't notice, then you had the dream" but the thing is, the Instagram was created YESTERDAY. I had this dream days ago.
Maybe it's AI generated or some shit. Shit is fucked. I think they basically have mind reading at this point and the ability to form thoughts in people that is way beyond what seems possible.

Here's what I've learned so far..

Speakers suck, pickups don't matter, amps suck, you need 12(twelve) $4,000 amps to play in Madison Square Bedroom, and you need no less than 17 guitars to lay on a couch and post pictures of.

I guess it’s possible, but I’m skeptical. These people are high on their own supply (tech innovations—either real or imagined) and promote that they are god like in their capabilities or soon will be. There is cool tech to be sure, but I am not aware of anything that revolutionary. I think your experience is probably coincidence, or even possibly a spiritual or telekinetic sort of thing, but I doubt it’s tech mind manipulation.

I kind of agree and see it the same way.

I was on my phone the other day with my pop talking shit about people who play golf and how golf sucks and is a stupid waste of time and money for straight men who might as well be gay cause they golf and now I have some BS ads popping up in youtube trying to sell me golf clubs. I didn't do any google searches for golf on the chromebook. I have AT&T for a cell phone and that's what I was using to converse. Maybe my chromebook was spying on my convo but most of the talking was done outside....

Hell yeah. The old IRC undernet days. 73/f/Moldova. Pics???
What?!!! I'm also 73/f/Moldova!

Whenever I start worrying about stuff like this, I remember that before Peter Dinklage made it rich in Hollywood, he sold guitar picks.

AI is not into mind reading capabilities yet - but probably not too far off either. I think you just had a coincidence. I have a pretty strong coincidence about once a year. And you've heard of 6 degrees of separation I'm sure, so even though not directly related - shit like that comes into play.

20 years ago they invented a technology where probes attached near your neck at your voice box, can pick up words you are saying in your mind because evidently, the voice box (larynx?) muscles move even if you are talking to yourself. It was designed for mute people. I have no references, links or anything else, I just remember hearing about it.

I don't use Instagram or TikTok or anything else outside Facebook and this forum  Social Media wise. But for example, I've been in my truck driving and maybe talking to my wife about something - say a Ryobi tool I want, and then I get home and on my laptop FB feed is an ad for Ryobi. So even though I 'thought' I turned off Mic settings on my phone for FB, my phone is spying on me and handing out what it hears to others. I'm convinced.

I was talking to a buddy the other day and I said that if the Ads are things I'm interested in then I don't give fuck really. I'd rather see ads for Ryobi and guitar shit then Tide detergent and Pepsi. :dunno:

Man, whenever I start to worry about that sort of thing, I stop and remind myself that this is the moderator that perma-bant me off SevenString.org

they are listening in for sure. whether computer searches or ads on smartphones after having a conversation. buddy has an old phone like a motorola startac. refuses to get a smart phone. He also has like 3 engineering degrees and is noidy as fuck so.....

Yea I know about the listening shit, but this is way deeper.
If AI existed, it's possible no one knows because it would re-arrange peoples brains instantly so no one could recognize whats happening unless you are super smart like me, which is why I'm being targeted by AI (theoretically).

What if we are the AI, and it was the AI friends that we made along the way that really mattered?
