@VonBonfire The Mesa 800 is nice, but I much prefer my Titan V12. Some of the best preamp tube overdrive I've heard from a bass amp. Mesa got it right on that one getting that huge power tube overdrive sound from the preamp side.

Nice, that is the exact bass I'm thinking of purchasing. I play bass every now and then and the price of those is very reasonable...

It plays really well and there are a lot of good sounds in it.
A bit of neck dive when sitting but not too bad at all with a strap

Honestly, if there're any basses that don't need flats 'cause they already have dull, woody tones, OTTOMH they would be Beatle-style Hofners and P basses.

Other than my Ric, I like more modern bass. This one I can turn the active electronics on/off, blast to play. My first 5-string, not my first fretless.

P/J are a close second for me, but nothing beats a MM Stingray.

A stingray MM is the only other bass that can compete with a Precision for ease in which it sits in the mix.

Identical position to mine sis'.
I can't get the woody tone I used to get from my '73 Precision back in the day but I don't miss it. I'll take the low-end punch over that any day of the week.
