I think marb lights are like 12 something a pack right now. Craziness
They'd be $50 here.

Where's that? Red's are like over $50 here.
... a carton, and down here we pay $50 a pack.

Tobacco stores are being burned by gangs as the black market heats up, and all because the gubment kept cranking up the tax component on teabaccy products.

To add to the "irony", it's done its best to shut down the vape industry because, of course, there's no money in it. Of course, there's further "irony" in the fact that the world over peeps are being encouraged to vape in order to give up ciggies. Heck, the British government recently provided, IIRC, a million pounds' worth of free vapes to cigarette smokers to help 'em give up.

Many layers of "irony" in all this and it only makes sense if you follow the money trail.

Massachusetts has been cracking down hard. They banned menthol cigarettes a while back and then flavored vapes shortly thereafter.
I live a stones throw from NY and Connecticut so no one really noticed though.

We have pot shops out the ass though

It was in reference to JBT saying he smokes fluoride

Hence the geology primer

Ok I mean sure, fluoride is a mineral and not a rock, but I don’t know of any “I smoke minerals” memes.
That was me who said that.

I'm starting to think maybe you've been smoking some flouride though.

You mean same sediment.

looks like they are about to say "fuck it" and power the lander down sometime today today. It was only intended to operate about a week anyways, but it will be interesting to see if this mission is still generally considered a "success" or not.

this is probably the best synapsis I've read so far

I'm not sure which company is slated to begin a mission next. FireFly Aerospace is the one that I'm watching the most.

There's seems to be a backlog of like 47 of my clips you have yet to comment on.

They did finally post a few images of their mission, most all of them are similar to this though.
Estimated 30m above the surface so it’s before it tipped over

They are getting a ton of shit for the lack of updates on the mission and their stock values are indicative of it.
Compared to Astrobotics whose mission went wrong basically as soon as it left Earth, who still posted regular updates throughout the entire trip. As someone interested in the topic I do like the updates, but again, these are private companies and it is not their duty to show the world their progress every step of the way. (much like FedEx doesn’t need to share tracking info with anyone but the customer)

pretty interesting and informative follow up press conference from earlier today. Looks like the mission is very much being considered a success.
