Is the toxic thread the one about YTers not getting free Mark IIC+ Reissues?
I got cancelled decades ago, so not surprising. My channel has about 30 subscribers.
What’s so toxic about the thread though? Is it because the YTers are human beings too or some other woke crap haha
They’ve had a good run, I’d personally love to see the Indian or Thai or Cambodian bot farms that give them the first 10k, 20k, 30k or whatever watches on each video within an hour raise their prices till only the crème de la crème of the social media influencers can make a living.
I mean, you see how few IC+ Reissue videos there are, right? And there’s so much interest in them. No “pro YTer” videos.
So why so few clicks?
Two answers: they don’t pay to game YT’s algorithm, and YT itself buries the content.
It’s not like YouTube doesn’t know these are fake clicks. It’s a criminal cartel, hoodwinking people.
Make them work for a living too, if you get my drift.

I don't know how many people I've had to explain samples from the ground up to
Specifically because Glenn fricker confused them on what samples ARE and how they can be used
For example, I got into an argument with a drummer once because he assumed my ambiance sample for his snare was literally replacing his snare sound
His explanation? Glenn fricker told him samples were shit. God knows he wasn't actually listening to what I was doing

I think I’ve become desensitized to clickbait titles. Like over the years I’ve subconsciously learned to tune out ads of all kinds. So it’s all just a bunch of noise I’ve learned to live with and mostly ignore.
I’ve never seen more than a few seconds of a Glenn Fricker video and then only once or twice, probably by accident. It’s easy to see just from the thumbs that it’s not for me so no clicky from me. There’s a lot of shit out there to ignore.
Now show me something about Orcas humping sailboats in the Straights of Gibraltar and I’m in like a sucker.

In this guy's defense, he is just a weird fuck that makes those faces all the time in his videos, and way before this was popular (how the fuck is a dumb face popular...). But he is a little too much for me to watch much of his stuff

No, from what I could gather, a few guys, including a few Youtubers decided to create some gear-based facebook page that was more 'inclusive', because they took issue with some of the things said here, or the tone of it.
Now, FWIW, I too am tired of some of the chest-pumpin' gorillas in OT calling everyone pdf files, fags, or some other politically driven derogative (soy this, libtard that...) just because you have a different view on life.

I didn't see the video nor did I see the thread, I just don't care about most new products coming out I guess.
The markets are so saturated with products and shills that I simply don't care anymore
Kyle does do a good job micing most of the time, even if he uses too much gain, so I can generally get a decent idea of what the amp sounds like which I appreciate
I should probably watch it for science - what kind of criticism was leveled?

I would like to give credit where it's due though. I like Kyle's vids because of how consistent they are- if I really want to hear some differences I feel like I can trust what I'm hearing since he always uses the same basic setup & mic.
