I genuinely don’t get it- with now good clips, no artist endorsement, no already captured market, who the fuck would buy these lmao

All that money and I can easily see the big GAP between the faceplate and chassis. Wow. Couldn't even figure out a simple clean cut.....

For some reason, Great Britain has done this with several companies over the past few years.

They are basically brand new and try to jump into vintage/boutique/custom areas that only big name brands can really corner.

How do they expect to NOT fail, like the other examples that come to mind?

Hell, Victory doing their hand made amps at the prices they are is stupid and I can't imagine why they would and then someone has to come "take the cake".

I could buy a wizard and a larry for these prices haha- both of which have captive markets, big artists who've played them, and built their way up to their prices over 20+ years

Guessing the gap is for airflow in lieu of a grill.
Otherwise it's ridiculous.
Unless it was built by Dwarves for the Gods.
Might be a good deal at that point.

I see plenty of amps built in the same format without that gap in the front, generally there is an open/vented back - a front grille or opening is not needed.

Marshall style amps like the Origin 50 come to mind with this design among many others.

All I see is a narcissist amp builder with delusions of grandeur.

Idiot didn’t even think about the fact that setting the pointer knobs to noon for the promo pic would obscure the labels so we can’t even clearly read what the amp’s controls are.

I wonder what else he didn’t think about when he designed that thing.

I have the opposite of this problem: I think about too many details and it makes it difficult to get anything done. I need more of what these people have: Zero thought - All gas!

Just checked out their website. There’s far more info on Nordic Mythology bullshit and the ‘TX’ options (true experience) silly wood burned custom headshell aesthetics than on what these amps actually sound like. Merely the mention of the word ‘artisan’ is a red flag to me lol. No clips and being purposely vague on anything to do with the sonics leads me to conclude this is basically the amplifier equivalent of those also ridiculously priced U.K. built Blackmachine guitars.

That would make sense if the gap was at the top where the hot air could escape. It just looks shitty with it at the bottom.

I would note that I like the fancy wood fronts on the Driftwood and Omega amps a lot. But this is some ghetto ass redneck shit. "Hey Jethro, let's see if we can stain this piece of plywood with a magic marker!"

I say we sail over there, break into their shop, steal them all and kill everyone that gets in the way. Then we would be the target audience.

Sköl!
This leads me to the question of every other amp brand and what the name implies haha

No doubt some sucker here will have one in a few months, or years. Whatever "90 days" means.

Yeah but only one of those can also build an amp for you in less than 90 days. The other is more like 90 months :dunno:

Don't mind the gap.

"Lightweight" doesn't sound good to me though. Can't get good tone out of lightweight transformers
