Thought it’d be cool to see what everyone here does for a living to be able to afford their gear assuming most people here have jobs lol.

I’ll start out I’m an auto tech that does everything from changing oil to full frame off builds on classics and hot rods. It’s a fun job when it’s going good, but 90% of the time it’s not going good haha.

Hope this is the right section figured it was best categorized as general.

Added a few photo’s of cars I’ve done drive train swaps on and various other things.

Was easier and more lucrative when it was all black market- before they legalized everything. Now you gotta deal with the cashier and opening the register and cameras everywhere. We need a union.
Well there was more of them around when we used have legit weed dealers. Sometimes volume had to make up for quality. I never paid much attention to weed dealers though. 😉😊

But are you robbing them for the money or for the dope? Hopefully both hmmmm
Think about it. They never call the cops.

Hello cops. I’d like to report an armed robbery.

What was stolen sir ?

Money, cocaine, guns and a Les Paul.

There’s only a couple very simple rules to follow to insure there’s little or no incentive for police to investigate.

Trades mostly.
I know someone who does a lot of trading and reselling gear. Always has some real nice stuff too would like to get my hands in constantly revolving gear eventually I just have a hard time of getting rid of things I like

I have guitar / gear 25+ yrs old. Im a packrat my wife will tell you.
Only thing about trades is luck of whats going around and the last few years has been pretty dismal.
Also im not driving 600+ miles for a guitar.
Usually the worst the economy is the better deals going around but unfortunately thats not the case.
Then there's $1300 epi & squire folks, dont get me started on that.

I saved, skimped, and did without. I invested heavily since 1980 and didnt waste $$$ on shit

now at 60 I can buy any damn thing i want within reason
