Feel like this was once covered, but thought it would be fun to revisit.
Y'all's favorite band or band(s) need a hired gun and you happen to be it.
Whose material are you confident enough to throw down on a stage with them by their next show?
Are you their lead guitarist or other?

Nobody? Guess I'll start.
Nothing most of y'all would like, but probably any mainstream Industrial or Nu Metal band.
NIN, Rammstein, Slipknot, Korn, Limp Bizkit, etc.. Guitarist, lead or otherwise, Bassist, or Keytarist :ROFLMAO:
Def wouldn't want to be stuck on a tour bus with most of them, though :ROFLMAO:

This is about where my playing is these days:

Sharon, Lois and Bram as musical director. I’ll even let each of them pick out their favorite 100w head. A change in genre is long overdue

I already tour with bands :dunno:

I'd enjoy playing in Slough Feg though, just because their music is really badass and I already know it all.

I get that, mainly meant your hero(es) and/or stadium level stuff.
Can totally see Slough Feg for you, tbh.

Stadium shows are mostly fake/pre-recorded now sadly, following the Kiss/Motley Crue model that those bands have used since the 80s

It would be an easy job, certainly, just hang out and travel and mime playing guitar

Slough Feg would be a good balance of cool music with riffs and not being so technically demanding that it got exhausting (if were talking about actually playing music)

speaking of heros, I mentioned QR. My band PowerTribe opened for them at the Whisky - I got to hang out with Frankie Banali and told him how much I appreciated the band’s music - prolly meant more to me than him but he was really cool and appreciative.

One of the bass players I work with has very good connections in the industry. He asked me to open for Led Zeppelin on the west coast when they were looking at a tour in 2008. Robert Plant killed it.

I haven't got a call yet for the next tour.

I remember that. It was supposed to be Jimi Hendrix, you, then Led Zeppelin.

I just got a call Friday about filling in for a bands tour this fall. I guess their bassist is bowing out and I'm going to fill in for one local show for sure, and a tour is developing in October. With my blessing, they are going to follow through with their plans.
