Great fret job, its an art.
I'd fill those holes w/ wood putty that matches your color.

I see yours has the larger diamond inlay on the headstock. I wonder if smaller vs larger was random for Burny or if there's some other distinction associated with it. Is yours quite a chonker in terms of weight as well? I believe mine is well over 11lbs.
It feels like at least 10

My Edwards also has very low smaller frets. Plays great though. So how do you find the burny quality overall? They are still one of the few deals out there for Japanese guitars. Most reviews I see are favorable and I love my Edwards cream colored Randy inspired LP
This Burny I like better than my Greco or Edwards. But that’s less about quality and more about preference. I like Les Paul’s to be heavy and thick on the neck side. I think the Edwards stuff is one of the better values here in Japan, as I can find the all day for 500. I think the sweet spot for the Burny, Greco, Tokai is at the 800 mark. Anything over than and there’s so many other Japanese options that are better. My only gripe about Burny is their lack of serial numbers and inconsistent specs.

The larger inlay puts it around 1989 and it’s heavy

Based on the pots date code, my black LPC is from '87 and it already has the larger diamond inlay.
Note that both of mine are the 'disconnected' diamonds and yours has the S-shaped diamond, where top-left and bottom-right triangles are connected through the middle beam. I was under the impression that the S-shaped (connected) diamond inlays were indeed from '89 onward.

Burny LPCs are fucking killer. I had one in black. I reprofiled the fretboard to 16", dyed it black and put in jescar ss frets with ball ends. That guitar ripped really hard. I don't know why the hell I got rid of it. They're tone machines, especially with the stainless it's got a little more chime to it. Wish I still had that thing, especially after I put in all that work :D

They look like jescar 57110....I think nickel
Yes. 57110

I just got it back today and I’m loving it. Jumbos on a Les Paul are a perfect marriage. Before I brought it in, the neck also has a little more relief on the bass side than treble. He wasn’t concerned and it was taken care of with the planing of the board. The nut it perfect, no binding or pinging. Intonation spot and and most importantly, it plays amazing I really likes how he does the ends. Nicely rounded without taking an aggressive angle. Lots of room for vibrato.

Gotta love those MiJ Les Pauls!
Picked up an Edwards Sykes clone a couple of years back. Totally scratched my Les Paul itch.
Paid about 1/3 what a decent Gibson would’ve cost. Had Graph Tech nut and saddles installed, so it’d stay in tune. Swapped out the Duncan SH-6 at the bridge, for a Pariah Sykonaut.

May I ask where you got that metal scales-strap? Looks friggin' awesome! 🤘

Gorgeous!

I love Japanese Les Pauls. My first was an Edwards Custom in Randy Rhoads cream. I stripped the paint off the neck and oiled it up, and the headstock has been busted off twice. So now the neck has a bit of a twist, so I've got it loaded up with brushed gold EMG 81/85s and strung with .10-52s with a .56 on the sixth string - it goes no higher than Drop C# and is my go-to for ultra low Zakk Wylde drop tunings.

I've just taken ownership of a Greco LP Standard from the 70s, and it's being converted into a dirty metal machine as well.

My favorite part of these guitars is the bones are so good, yet the price tag is low enough that you're really free to go nuts hotrodding them.
