Whatever anyone thinks about the parade today, spending $45 million in taxpayer dollars on it is a stupid waste. Give the Army guys a raise if you wanna honor them. Or, an extra day off. Or, better yet save it.

Well, on the one hand you're absolutely correct. I mean we should definitely honor the 250th birthday of the US Army, but 45m is a lot of scratch.


On the other hand the democrats wasted 20 times that much trying to convict trump of being a Russian spy. Then there's all the revelations brought to us by DOGE. We spent more than that spreading joy and love about homosexuals and trannies in foreign countries.


Politicians and spending are way, WAY out of control. The money they spent on covid payments for example could have made most of the US citizenry wealthy. The government spends all these trillions of dollars allegedly to make the lives of citizens or groups of citizens better. GIve a mother fucker a million dollars and let him work his own problems out.

But isn't this the trap, Floyd? You say "but Democrats did this", someone else says "but Republicans did that" and it goes round and round, fingers get pointed, nothing changes and everyone hates each other a little more to feel temporarily vindicated. It's exhausting and pointless.

Congress critters laugh their asses off at us while the get millions in lobbyist $$, and get rich off insider trading. And, neither party reduces the debt EVER.

Definitely man, it’s the worst. Everytime I tell one daughter to stop doing something and they reply with “but (other daughter) did it first!” I think of this place lol. It’s the crux of so many attempts at legitimate points.

This gobernment spends 20 billion per day, half of which has to be printed and borrowed. It's too late to be worried about spending.

  1. No tax on tips
  2. No tax on overtime
  3. No tax on social security

The BBB does increase deductions for SS by $4k but does not eliminate taxes on them. So, it falls short of what Trump promised.

I don't understand why the House won't write a clean bill on just those three items. It would sail through Congress, Trump would get a huge win and Americans would love it.

Actually, I do understand it. Every president wants some huge omnibus bill for their legacy, then all the rats in Congress load it with pork and poison pills and it becomes partisan. No one loses by eliminating taxes on tips, OT and SS, but here we are.
