I know there are a few of you out there. What kind of bass rig are you playing through?

My amp setup is:
  • Mesa Titan V12 through GK Neo 412
  • Crate BV 300 & preamps into loop through Ashdown RM610
  • Ashen Miley, no dedicated cab
  • ignore the Line 6 in the pic.
Main basses are:
  • Built by me double-horn Iceman style bass w/ Schaller double J's
  • Built by me Iceman style short scale w/ Alumitone bassbar
  • Hondo Explorer w/ Duncan Quarter pounder
  • Ibanez Talman - I want to try an Alumitone P/J set in it

Any suggestions for a direct recording preamp/D.I. Box/or software etc that would achieve ultra clanky, grand piano ish Tool, Overkill, or Anthrax like bass tones?

My Ampeg SVT CL head has been my main horse for my fill-in gig lately. I miss my SVT 2 Pro a bunch. My 8x10s are still in regular service though. I let my bassist use them so we don't have to drag any 8x10s out of the basement.

Man, that one bass reminds me of "The Ox"

The band leader of the band I'm playing with tried to give me his before I started playing with them. I turned that down as well. I prefer to 'relic' my cabs myself.
Me too. In the end I had two left. A 2015 Heritage 810CL and a '96 SLM 810cl with no tolex on it, the grill is attached with a pair of drywall screws and the grill cloth has " Eat Shit" stenciled on it. I only needed one after I quit gigging. I sold the Heritage. The '96 sounds way fucking better.

By the way, your signature pedal arrived tonight. I haven't had a chance to check it out though because I also got rid of my pedal board and power supplies. I ordered one off Amazon, should be here in a couple days. My wife asked if I was gonna play with Bezo's Nuttz. :ROFLMAO:

You're going to love that pedal. As particular as the original is about being set correctly is equally as difficult to find a bad setting on Wayne's version. The way the EQ knobs open and close the filter exponentially elevates that circuit. I can't wait for you to play with my nutz.
