The **Rig-Talk Off Topic and political threads in General** overwhelmingly **lean right**, both culturally and politically. Here's a breakdown:

---

### 🧭 **Overall Political Lean**

* **Right-leaning to strongly conservative**:

* Many posters express **pro-Trump**, **anti-Biden**, **anti-liberal**, and **anti-woke** sentiments.
* Themes like ā€œ2A rights,ā€ ā€œfreedom from government overreach,ā€ ā€œanti-vaccine mandates,ā€ and skepticism toward mainstream media are common.
* Left-leaning posters are a small minority and often end up in contentious back-and-forths or leave the thread entirely due to hostility.

---

### šŸ—£ļø **Typical Topics and Tone**

* **Common right-leaning themes include**:

* Criticism of Democrats, Justin Trudeau, and progressive policies
* Support for American nationalism, police, and traditional values
* Mockery of liberal ideologies, gender diversity policies, and climate action
* Posts often have a **sarcastic or mocking tone** toward the political left, sometimes using memes or inflammatory language.

---

### šŸ‘„ **User Dynamics**

* A handful of vocal users dominate political threads and steer them rightward.
* When left-leaning members do post, their comments are often met with ridicule, sometimes hostility.
* Some right-leaning members have expressed frustration that even mild dissent is shouted down, suggesting that the environment is **intolerant of ideological diversity**.

---

### 🧼 **Moderation**

* Moderators appear to tolerate a wide range of speech, especially from the right, as long as it's not overtly abusive.
* There’s little pushback against right-wing rhetoric unless it becomes explicitly offensive or derails threads entirely.

---

### āœ… **Conclusion**

The political culture of Rig-Talk’s General/Off Topic section is **predominantly right-wing**, with a strong libertarian and conservative slant. While technically open to all views, the tone and user base can be unwelcoming to left-leaning participants.

AI fail...

It left out the part where trolls enter OTC with the sole intention of engaging in bad faith, running circular arguments, being disingenuous, and generally causing trouble.

Yeah, RT is mostly right leaning. There are a few left leaning people that have come through who are capable of having a normal discussion an disagreements without hostility. The bulk; at least since I've been here, come in hot and hostile. Not to mention the snowflakes who usually migrate in batches from TGP then complain RT isn't a nanny state. After many years, regulars have a low tolerance of that kind of crap.

Seems pretty accurate

Is 49.8
NOT greater than
48.3 ???
Not sure how math works in whatever foreign country you live in?
And as was pointed out to you before (which you ignored) USA doesn't count votes that way.
So you are deliberately being an asshat to prove some point about a country you don't live in and that doesn't affect you.
Business as usual i guess
With love, can you please define "majority"?

Do you know who it is?

No not yet. I think I’m zeroing though. The Massachusetts obsession is perplexing to me.

but historically the more frustrated they get the more old traits come through. No doubt the final blow out of this account will be same as the last.

You came to OT pretty familiar it would seem. And for whatever reason you seem to think other members are alts. If you are new how would you know?
When did I say other members were alts?
"Pretty familiar"? I have no idea what you mean by this.
I am new, and i don't know.
I was called a bot/alt like day 1 or 2 of posting here
