We're getting it too in northern Indiana. Doesn’t bother me as much as some...asthmatics are suffering. So many fires it's tough to keep track of them all, even the Grand Canyon is burning.
 
I heard back then the weed wasn't as strong but not bad compared to now......


Ive heard of Thai Stick Weed...... I guess Stick Weed was the more potent shit back then :dunno:

Depends. When I was a young teenager no, it wasn’t as good. By the time I was 16 or so I was smoking Humboldt in Orange County. And it was $30 an 1/8th. Humboldt was as good as any of the shit I smoked in Amsterdam, either time, and I have no doubt it was as good as the shit in dispensaries now.

Yeah there was a time even in the 90s or 2000s were it was still around but by then Kush...... Purple/Orange had taken over or other Kush and higher strength weeds.



Probably the biggest break through since was stuff like Louis the 13th and that type of "Presedential" weed with a 25%+ THC content.

I haven’t smoked weed in 14 years so I don’t know.
 
Today’s weed blows the older stuff out of the water.
I mean it will all get you high, but as far as potency it’s really not even close.

I appreciate taking a couple nice clean hits when I want to and feeling good. Gone are the days of smoking an entire joint to my face.

Even the high grade shit that has won all the Cannabis Cups in Amsterdam for the last 3 or 4 decades ? Seems odd to me that anyone in Amsterdam would even bother producing sub par weed. I wonder if the weed in Amsterdam right now is as good as this new high grade "Medicinal" shit all you stoners are ingesting ?

Medicinal and recreational are 2 separate things.
 
Is the medicinal shit a higher grade than what is in Amsterdam at The Bulldog ?

I don't have a medical card, but my buddy does.
Medical stuff is way stronger, and you can buy much greater quantities vs recreational

Not really. I’m sure there is plenty of crossover when it comes to the actual weed people buy, but medicinal marijuana requires a medical card.
Recreational just requires you to be old enough, and is taxed way higher.

Like this is the last 8th I got, it was like 30 something bucks.
Something similar would easily cost twice that from a dealer 20 years ago.

It’s not so much that they didn’t grow any comparable weed back in the day, it’s just that any given bud you buy today is just about as good as the best shit from yesteryear. This 30 dollar 8th will last me a couple months

Kinda stupid if you ask me. I mean THC is THC, so it's a matter of quantity in each "Serving" right ? Cocaine when it's based or broke down with water and filtered through say a cigarette butt is about as close to pure cocaine as it gets I reckon ?
