Buying only cheap-shit Chinese dolls leads to private collections of thousands and ultimately a waste of landfill space. It'll be interesting to see how the toy market shifts in terms of manufacturing locations and whatnot over the next few years. Heck, it could turn out to be a litmus test and indicator of the horizontal benefits of tax reform and tariffs. The vertical stuff's a given largely IMHO (Investment, chip-manufacturing, drilling etc.).

Skipping Nixon for a moment, you've mentioned "Neil DeAss Tyson" several times - His persona can be off-putting, but he has a real education (not your undisclosed "everyone gets a participation trophy" community college degree. Ivy Tech with a major in soldering??), So, serious question... Do you honestly think he's ignorant? Or stupid? Or that you're his intellectual equal? You may not be aware of this, but it's OK if you disagree with him. That doesn't mean he's wrong. Smart money says you're on the wrong side of nearly any argument...

I know this was addressed to Kid, but I wanted to chime in on Neil Tyson.
Dude is smart and knows his stuff as an astrophysics. He just stepped out his lane over the last few years jumping on the "woke" train and sorta put a black mark on his reputation. He would have been better sticking to physics and staying out of the social issue politics.

I don't disagree. He would be best served sticking to science topics and avoiding anything that could be remotely construed as "political" or partisan. The man is stupid smart - he should stick to his strengths (in my opinion) ...

Yep.

This, along with atrocious communication skills, is why I give The Kid so much trouble. IMO, he was graciously given his own subforum to pedal his cable business but what does he do? He talks like a kid, alienates half of his potential customer base via his overt political views, and doesn't take his own business seriously :dunno:

But he fools a lot of people...... and a lot of average people into thinking he is smart......


Let's keep in mind this is the same person who believes the concept of the average came after Calculus which is as ludicrous or about as bonkers as saying a fish came after lizards on an evolutionary scale or that the wolf came after the dog......

I used to work for a guy who was a devastating mix of both asshole AND stupid.
If anything was messy, he would scream "It's a fucking SOUP SANDWICH!" at the top of his lungs.
Hahahaha we used to die laughing which would make him even more angry.
His company went tits up because they were defrauding the US Government on contracts and had to go to court and everything. Karma is a bitch
