PRS McCarty 594 Singlecut discontinued ?

As a PRS 594 aficionado, I've watched the market on the single cuts for years. For some reason, on the used market, the single-cut 594s bring a consistently lower resale value than the double-cut 594s. Also the S2 McCarty's are great as well.
Maybe people just don't like them?
I also had a double cut 594 as well, it is just as great, just a little different tone. Can be found cheap as well if you are patient.

Since we're going show and tell. These are mine. The green one is hard to take pics of, because it changes color depending on the lighting.

Ah hell while we’re at it I’ll throw mine in the mix. I know matte isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and honestly I told myself “no black back” on this one until I saw the “second top” on the back and forgot about it. Too lazy to get up and take a photo but here’s the glamour shots. I’ve since put a Tremonti in the bridge.

PRS needs to make the Custom 24 with the thicker body, actually for all their models. More wood is a good thing.
They also need to paint the headstocks on the CE model. Those maple headstocks suck.
Also bring back Whale Blue. That is the best color on any guitar and they hardly do it anymore. Lots of dumb purples tho.
The reason is probably due to all of their blue finishes fading over time and losing their original color.

I know this may not be popular, but my S2 594 is a monster. Yeah the carve is different and the scarf joint and all, but the two Wood Library S2’s I have have better tops than many more recent core’s and are all US made now with the same hardware, and not the Korean parts

As I stated, the S2 594 models are one of the best values out there period. Look, play and sound amazing and the stock pickups are so close to the core models that there is very little difference even when switching between them. Nice axes and rig!

2024 starting coming with USA electronics/pickups.

I love my PRS's and was considering the 594. I ended up custom ordering a Knaggs Kenai in white, with an ebony board, black binding and BK poly-paf pickups for cheaper than I would have been able to get a plain off the shelf 594 for. Awesome sounding/playing guitar....every bit as good as a core PRS for sure.

Everytime I've seen a Knaggs they are pretty expensive. That's a beauty.

Geez, I just went on Reverb & they were some VERY well priced Knaggs. Last time I went they were ridiculously priced. By that I mean out of MY price range. lol
