2 children killed, 20 wounded while praying in their pews at Annunciation Catholic School; ‘Incomprehensible cowardice’

The US was isolationist at the time. We sent supplies on ships to the UK, a lot of them got blown up by U-Boats.
Those supplies were paid for by England at the cost of their entire gold reserves - so you weren't doing them any favours mate.

The US isolationist now as well - true to form - buncha pricks.

Ever study "lend / lease"? It's what the US was doing for Europe before being forced into the war. Dozens of US ships torpedoed by nazi subs while trying to get war supplies to countries that needed them. No appreciation whatsoever, eh? You're one short-sighted SOB.
The japs were knocking on your door until americans arrived and started beating them back....most Aussies were thankful.
Those supplies were paid for by England at the cost of their entire gold reserves - so you weren't doing them any favours mate. You were mercenary - show me the money... Why should I show appreciation for wiping out England's capital in their fight against the Nazis that you sat on the fence on because you had your heads up your arses.

The US isolationist now as well - true to form - buncha pricks.

The Australians fought the Japs in New Guinea. They bombed Darwin repeatedly as well.

So, if that's your perspective then you accept that children will die so you all can own guns. Now that's freedumb.
It's like asking NZ folk to quit keeping sheep. You have more sheep than people. We have more guns than people. It's unrealistic to expect cultural norms to be dropped without heavy resistance. People had guns in the past and there were no school shootings. My old man had a gun cabinet we had free access to. There were plenty of fistfights, it never crossed my mind to grab a gun and go blow someone away.

I knew a couple dudes in middle school that roughed this kid up real bad daily, stole all his shit, tormented him day in day out. If it had been on the street he would've been legally justified in blowing both of their asses away. It was all reported to admins who did nothing because they were athletes and well, his mom was too busy with party time to be his advocate. So he brought a long rifle to school in a carpet tube and planned on killing both of them and the principal who ignored his pleas. Thankfully he was talked down but went to juvenile detention until he was 21. He was an otherwise good dude. IME it's the educational system and the slime running it, and the explosion of broken homes and absentee parents more than the access to guns bro.

Sheep don't kill people (very often)

Hollywood isn't very good about this either. Every damn movie and show have the actors with fingers on triggers, not watching their muzzle, just using the poorest of etiquette.

Neither do guns, dumbass

A majority of Americans (61%) say it is too easy to legally obtain a gun in this country, according to the June 2023 survey. Far fewer (9%) say it is too hard, while another 30% say it’s about right.

About six-in-ten U.S. adults (58%) favor stricter gun laws. Another 26% say that U.S. gun laws are about right, while 15% favor less strict gun laws.

Constitutionally, and historically, all the terrible implements of the modern infantryman were supposed to be available to the citizenry. Shoulder fired rockets, hand grenades, land mines, etc etc should all be available at Ace Hardware. If we didn't have psychos brainwashing everyone at school and in the media it wouldn't be a problem. Texas was basically founded because Mexican soldiers tried to seize a cannon from residents of Gonzales. You're beating your head against a wall thinking Americans will relinquish their weapons my man or believe people like you spinning weapons as a negative. It's what sets us apart, and makes us a unique place in the world, shootings or no shootings.

How many of those people have actually tried to legally obtain a gun in the US? Probably none of them.
It's not s easy as you think. It's a myth.
And the politicians that would be passing restrictive laws barely know which end the bullet comes out of.
They all have armed bodyguards, they don't care.

Like I said, enjoy the next mass shooting. Take care friend.

Tv, movies, and video games depicting violence desensitize the viewer towards those things, especially children whose brains aren't fully developed. Many people would cry foul if we tried to take their trash programs away in the name of protecting society. The same sort of people I hear that spin weapon possession as evil often try to defend filth and smut. Not saying that is JD, it's just an observation about Americans who attack one constitutionally protected right, then lash out when a right they hold dear is brought into question, even though smut was basically verboten prior to the 50's. Put it all together. Smut and violent entertainments portrayed as a "right", no fault divorces leading to more broken homes, introduction of narcotics and pharmaceuticals across social spectrums, and greater access to effective weaponry=recipe for a mess. The shootings are a symptom of greater underlying issues.

Funny though, we have all the same video games, TV and movies in the rest of the world.

Yes, and you have a similarly morally bankrupt culture who will do the same sort of things when they have access to weapons. I remember the Christchurch shooter. And many of your native people are smart enough to not hand over the weapons from your government which acted in domineering fashion during covid.

Stephen King:
As long as guns are easily available to crazy people, mass killings directed at so-called soft targets will continue. This is a fact. Countries where it's more difficult for crazy people to obtain guns have less shootings. This is also a fact. Do with these facts as you will

Here's the murder rate over time in Australia. One significant mass shooting and they took action which saved countless lives.

I guess it was unrealistic of me to expect a foreigner to have more than a cursory understanding of what is driving violence in American classrooms. BTW not a very pertinent quote seeing as it's coming from a man whose fortune has been made depicting dysfunction and violence in books and television.
