Now there's some serious talent right there. Would have been killer to see those times.

Just asking a question; not being snarky here. Why do you think it’s before ours time? Are you asking if we’s are too young and don’t listen to the past music? Or do you’s believe that RT’s is a bunch of guys who listen and play new millennium music only?
Most people in this forum are really good at music history and have followed John Sykes from Tygers of poon Tang as well as the other shred heads from 60-70-80s and up. The ages of RTers range probably from early 20s-70 years old here. I’d bet as a collective the history of rock music could be written from RT by memory from the collective.

No way man, I soaked up all of it!They're so pretty.I could never figure out chick rock. WTF is that anyway?
Motley Crue really was the worst of that shit! Come on girlies, it's fun! Girls, girls girls! GGGGGGheyyyyy. Chick rock killed itself, metal like Pantera lives on.
I used to think, "why would you listen to that crap when there is Black Sabbath & Slayer?"
Merciful Fate, DIO and Judas Priest were about as close to chick rock for me.

I was so pissed when I saw the video for "Still of the Night" and then found out they didn’t play on it. Love those other players but felt like Sykes got screwed. All good, I don’t mind you asking. Partially curious to see if people would know and partially just looking to find some people who are into it. Glad to see (and hear from your post) this is a Sykes fanzone.
Sykes is one of those guys I wish had put out at least 10 more albums than he did![]()

this photo showed up in a recent documentary and it’s a gig i ran sound for at the cal state fullerton quad amphitheater. set up the PA, chased these guys out of the bathroom running late because they were primping, started with 50 screaming fans and as soon as they threw out their shwag shirts the crowd immediately dispersed down to the 4 groupies you see. really weird.
There's probably hundreds, if not thousands on RT that followed John Sykes up to his death. We were all on pins and needles waiting for this new album that never happened. All good, I don’t mind you asking.
