Can or not, it looks really good. ❤️ I want my husband to paint my car that color (or at least close like a black cherry). Probably won't be for another year or two. Looks really good with the caramel flame neck and gold.
Aw thank you, finally developed some patience and that's really all that's required haha. That color is actually a mistake, I was trying to correct streaks in a root beer brown candy and by the time I fixed it with more paint there was a color shift. Thankfully I like it much better than what I was going for

Nice!

I have a 3/23 affixed to my case, like a $2M banana.

Thank you! yeah I did that one and @Jdub's I posted above, and prob about a dozen others by now. I've got access to a spray booth at work now that's made it way nicer to paint stuff. Still using aerosol rattle cans from Roth Metal Flake or Tropical Glitz, but I'm about to put my big boy pants on and get a gun so I can shoot large metal flake too.
I have painted a few guitars over the years and I can appreciate how difficult it is. I rattle can nitro and not having a booth sucks. In fact I don't really want to do it anymore because I can't keep the dust out of the paint.

Yeah having a clean room and the air sucking past the body makes all the difference in the World. The new poly’s are so good too, gone are the mega paint buildup days.

I used to have a Charvel from that line that made in the 2000's. The USA line for $999.
Are those worth the $1500 used price these days or are the Mexican models with a good setup fine?

My first "good" guitar was a MIJ Charvel Model 1 I bought new in around '85 or '86. Played it all through college and wore out the crappy Jackson trem by doing too many Steve Vai trem windmills and had a local shop install a a Floyd.

Sold it many years ago to buy an Ibanez of some sort. Wish I had kept it.

I did pick this up earlier this year. Swapped in an Antiquity JB and Ti saddle blocks. Killer guitar.

Great guitar and great amp/cab choice!

Dan - in the first pic what is that bottle with the red top? It looks like charcoal lighter fluid.
Practicing a guitar sacrifice?
