The Line 6 Stadium XL should be releasing in the next few weeks. Is anyone planning to pick one up?

I'll probably pick one up, but probably early next year. I am more excited about the capture feature when its released. I have been using the HX line for about 7 years and have gone from HX Effects, to Pod Go, to Helix Floor, an HX Stomp and a couple HX One pedals. I am a huge fan but I think the Tonex amp captures sound better than the HX amp models currently. I hope the Augora upgraded ones sound better. My main direct rig right now is the large Tonex and the IR-J in parallel with an HX Stomp providing all the effects and routing. If the Stadium can do what I need better I will make the jump.

I have one preordered. Not sure when it’ll come in though. I currently have no modeling or sim device, so it’ll be good for convenience playing out somewhere small.

I'm back and forth but I do have one pre-ordered. I keep considering cancelling it though it seems to be pretty damn awesome.
I sold a quad cortex recently. I loved it but it kept having little issues that got on my nerves.
I got a JEL-50 that has me playing hours a day again instead of finding a tone and tweaking it for 10 minutes, playing for 2 minutes and doing anything else. I loved the space, lack of having to buy new amps as they continue to pour out and weight but I just didn't play it nearly as much. I think, for me, it's great for out or recording but I absolutely wasn't having fun. Hoping the stadium might reinvigorate the modeling thing for me.

I have been weighing it, not sure I need it. A digital device seems like a must in this day and age of shrinking concert and live music venues.

I moved it from one room to another and actually used it for about an hour, plugged it into my computer and actually tested the recording functionality lol. I wish I wasn't so intimidated by its format and learning curve to get it up and running. But I should really sit down with it.

AFAICR every "model" since the original POD line has had a rack equivalent appear a while after release, so I'm tippin' there will be one.
I started out on the original POD bean and apart from XT and XT Bass bean purchases, I bought every rack unit until I switched to Kemper shortly before the Helix dropped.

I really want to grab one but not sure if the regular Floor or wait it out for the Stomp version...probably Floor if the Stomp doesn't have SPDIF.

I’ll be getting the Floor. I don’t need the strips and expression pedal. It’s going to be a killer unit and the tones I’ve heard from it are really good. The feature set looks pretty insane.
What I’m not looking forward to is the launch day blitz of vids from fuck nuts like Jason Sadites and the like. I’d rather hammer a rusty nail into my eye than hear that guy! Lol.

I used to use Line6 Stuff, but nowadays im too lazy and not impressed by the Sound anymore.

My next purchase is a JEL 20 and have my Orange transistor amps. Those keep me focused on playing, like you mentioned. When I had a Fractal, I was like Dr. Frankenstein at the controls, tweaking like a madman.
I am intrigued about the LINE 6 though.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you prefer the rack? That's why I left Fractal and went to the Helix in the first place--who wants to lug around a rack case and a pedalboard?

I don't mind.
It takes up less space for me. I don't play out, so portability isn't a requirement.
If I did play out, I would definitely go with the floor unit.

IIRC they've never announced rack versions when the past beans and floorboards were first released bro', so it's par-for-the-course so far.
