Return to Serenity

This song and Electric Crown are great but man, the rest of this album is just plodding and forgettable. It’s like the worst of the black album and Youthanasia combined

I'm with gary, this song is amazing, and electric crown is alright, but the rest of the album is terrible

I still liked the songs . I also love the 2 albums you mentioned . But speed for all 3 was missing bad

I’m going to get killed but I honestly never liked them as much because I never liked any of the production on any of their albums . Especially their drums sounds . Ruined it for me . But their recent stuff sounds better produced and I enjoy them more now . But there like 2 songs on each album I like . And you named the two that do stick out for me as well

They've had great production since the 90s - haven't you heard the Gathering?

And they re recorded their first two albums specifically for people like you that can't handle underground production and it hurts your vagina 😂 the rerecording album is called "first strike still deadly" - check it out, you'll understand why people love it so much, even with bad production

Dude I like real raw recordings . But in the 80s treatment sounded like a raw band recorded with bad 80s tones . I mean poison records sounded better . I like raw death metal and black metal recordings . I don’t see testament 80s recordings as underground at all . It just sounded flat af compared to others . Look at cannibal corpse first album . It’s raw sounds good . Testament production just drove me away . I only listened when I needed to learn Alexs solos . Being honest . I also agree gathering was better produced

You can't possibly think that Razors early stuff or Pleasure to Kill is a "good" raw recording and testament somehow is any different? They were a tiny underground thrash band when they first started - those couple albums are what turned them INTO a big band

That's like saying kill em all doesn't have as good of production as master, and theres no excuse for it because metallica aren't underground

Listen to the re-recording of the first two albums - the songs are 8 trillion times cooler than return to serenity, or anything on that godforsaken sellout album the ritual

Pleasure to Kill sounds incredible.
I'll listen to Razor until I'm dead and yes some of their albums will sound bad until that date 😂

TBH i don't think tech strikes me as a razor or kreator fan, more of a winger fan if you catch my meaning :ROFLMAO:

I just meant its kind of nonsensical to pretend testament WERENT an underground band on their first two recordings, which were obviously recorded with the tech available at the time to a small band like that

I wonder of they rerecorded that stuff to use up an album on their record deal. Like live albums or compilations. Its possible
