SOLD on Reverb

1984 (first year) MOSFET head, in excellent shape! Drake transformer, JCM 800 era quality parts, plus working reverb. Large caps, gain push pull pot, master volume, and input jack replaced, pots cleaned. Works fine, and is loud! Too loud for my needs. Put the master on 2 and you have 2204 vibes...

I am more a Marshall guy. Soldano doesn't do a Marshall tone. The amp is $2k. I'd rather have a Friedman Runt 50.

This is my favorite "brown" tone - darker than the first album, but still chewy and clear.

I like my HP. I've tried several other attenuators, including: Rivera Rockcrusher Bad Cat Unleashed Marshall Power Brake Weber (various) The Hotplate does kill some high end, but it doesn't really "alter" the tone as much as the others above mentioned.
