Depending what version SB, I’ll assume it’s the current version….the SS is chewier with more mids and low end but nice clear top end with the treble at 7. The 2014 and older version SB has a tad more low end and leans on the chewier warmer side in comparison to the newer brighter and tighter...

Just picked up one last week on a trade and pretty shocked in how incredible it sounds. Was planning on just flipping it thinking it'll be easier to sell but I think I'll hang on to it for a while. I have a SB50 and 100 Deluxe also and use to have a DS40 and TS40. All great amps.

For me it’s the Bogner Shiva amps including the 20th. I’ve owned my share too. 3 standard Shivas and two 20th Anniversary’s. I want to like them but there’s a weird mid thing going that I don’t get along with and the attack is too slow.
