I was wondering why (thought I could guess why) they hadn't they hadn't integrated their plugins. That changes the game for me if I can port Parallax, Mesa Mark, Soldano, etc. plugins. Killer.
I'll be an outlier here. I like mine and it holds its own in what I think is a decent stable. It's not a unique sound but it scratches my 5150 itch. The feature set is great, it's solid, it's pretty well rounded. I'm always a little surprised by opinions of others on this head, but different...
Good review. I know they get mixed reviews around here, but I've had mine for 6-7 years and really like it. I sort of liken it to a more polished 5150. Can get polished or go raw but has similar saturation. Smart design. Marek is great to deal with as well.
While I’m not a big fan of active pickups on basses, I like active electronics. In terms of scale length, you should be fine with 34” if the bass is well crafted. All the brands above fall in that category if you find the right one. My Fodera 6 was tuned to A standard and is 33”. Sounded killer...

Guitar is in great condition. Very resonant (partially due to the TEW ash body). Great guitar and amazing playability like all Mayones guitars.

In terms of playability, it’s hard to beat Mayones. I’ve owned a Regius and own a Duvell. Both have amazing attention to detail. Perfect fretwork.
That said, in my revolving door of guitars, I’ll be selling the Duvell soon.
