    WTB Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG+

The Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG+ are richer in high mids and treble than the square getter 12ax7. Square getter sounds flatter in the mids and a bit more bass

Not that particular speaker, however I have compared a V30 made in UK vs a V30 Chinese and the difference was minimal. Pretty much the same kind of difference you would get by comparing 4 of the same speakers in a 4x12 cab.

It's impossible to guess how 6CA7 will sound in your Jubilee. They are cheap enough to try and decide for yourself though. In general I find the 6CA7s sound closer to winged C's in the midrage than eh el34s. They should also add more bass, a tighter punchy bass while retaining some el34...

I absolutely agree with you. I replaced Svetlana Winged C with JJ 6CA7 in a dual rectifier and the 6CA7s sounded far better. People often dismiss this tube due to disatisfaction with other JJs however the 6CA7s have their own sound. They are rich in low mids, upper mid crunch and have the tight...

    Protone Dino Cazares Overdrive Pedal

Boss Metal zone into a dual rectifier is supposed to be the cannible corps tone. That sound is quite different to Dino's but of course going into a Marshall amp would be a major contributing factor.

    Anyone into Gojira?

From Mars to Sirius is a masterpiece. Love that album but can't quite get into any of there other albums with the exception of the occassional song here and there.

I have owned them the original Svetlana 6l6 winged C tubes in the past. No current production tubes compare to them. The Svetlana reissue is a different tube altogether. Not bad, just different Svetlana winged C are more open in the mids. A little more upper mids and wider mids across the...

Looks good. How does it sound? The Dino pedal is great if you are looking for pick attack. I find that many OD pedals are slightly different versions of each other. If your happy with what you have then that's all that really matters. 2 or 3 ODs are enough for me to change up the sound.

Interesting that you prefer the classic Furman EQ that dimebag used back in the day over 130 other pedals. I'd like to try one of thoes out of curiosity. I use the parametric eq in my old Boss GT-10 through the effects loop to pull out the boxy low mids and that works great.

    Protone Dino Cazares Overdrive Pedal

I have heard others complain about the protone owners attitude so it must be a thing. I had good experience though. The pedal arrived on time, looks good and sounds good to me.

Fair enough. Send it back if your not happy with the finish. I'm happy with mine and it will stay in my rack unless something better comes along

    Protone Dino Cazares Overdrive Pedal

I have never used any of thoes pedals. It comes down to personal preference. I like to have a bright and a warm pedal for different tones. At the moment I prefer the dino pedal for bright and the KHDK ghoul screamer for warm tones.

    Protone Dino Cazares Overdrive Pedal

My Protone Dino Cazares OD pedal arrived a few days ago. Is it Fear Factory in a box? Well, it can certainly push your amp in that direction. I use it to boost a Peavey 5150 and can confirm that it blends quite well with this amp. The tone knob has a very distinct upper midrange frequency that...
