Going to Tokyo, need guitar buying advice

I'm literally hoping to buy 3 or 4 guitars and really looking for stuff I'll never see in the states. But every guitar I see might be a bit ambitious, lol.

Going to Tokyo, need guitar buying advice

Sweet, noted. I'm a few subway stops from there, so shouldn't be hard to get to. Thanks for the info!

Going to Tokyo, need guitar buying advice

Hey all, going to Tokyo for my first time this November and I've always heard the music stores are out of this world. I'm looking for suggestions on places to go while I'm there. Also, doubt I'll be able to carry much back with me on the plane, so if anyone has had stores there ship to the USA...

    Herbert problems

Thanks, it was recapped early this year, but who knows, maybe the tech made a mistake. Not judging, it happens. I'm reaching out to the tech Peter recommend, who also did the previous work, and see what he says.

    Herbert problems

Well, I not only reseated tubes, I replaced them all. No difference. No difference pulling the head off the cab either. Something definitely wrong with it

    Herbert problems

I'll give that a try, as I haven't done any of that. The tech did retension the sockets, but this problem started shortly after I got the amp back from him, so who knows what happened in transport. Thanks.

    Herbert problems

I have tried another cab, another guitar, another cable, single coils, humbuckers. All stays the same. I'm guessing it will need to go back to the tech, but was hoping for something more concrete as far as a problem. It's a bummer for sure.

    Herbert problems

I'm not sure how to describe this one, but looking for some help. My Herbert is making a sort of crackling noise when I sustain a chord. It's intermittent, but really annoying. If you listen to the clips below, it sounds like a sort of digital breakup on the recording, it's not. It's live in the...

Looking for a reputable tech for my Herbert, NY/East coast

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I figured I'd be shipping this as I know I don't have an authorized Diezel tech around. If the US/Canada border weren't closed, I could drive up to Toronto maybe, but not these days.

Looking for a reputable tech for my Herbert, NY/East coast

Fuses are good, but there was a pop and smoke. With the fuses being good and not being anywhere near skilled as tech, I figure at this point, I'm just going to step away from the amp until someone with some skill can look at it. I was thinking I needed a tech anyway as the amp has not been right...

Looking for a reputable tech for my Herbert, NY/East coast

I've got an older Herbert, been losing power and having the amp cut out. Went to replace the power tubes and flipped on the power (in standby) to starting biasing the new tubes and there was a loud pop and smoke. Immediately shut it off and haven't touched it. Guessing it's going to need some...

4x12 Need opinions: Mills Acoustics, Vader, Port City, Uberk

My go to cab is a Mills Acoustic Afterburner. As has been said in this thread already, it's huge and sounds it. The weight is an issue for gigging though. Really tough to move that thing around. I still record with it and it's my go to cab at home, but I have a Marshall 1982a I gig with as...

Any trick to removing back from Mesa cabs?

I used to take the jack plate off mine and use the cutout as a handle to pull the backboard out. If the screws are out, it's just the seal holding the thing together, but it's tough to get it out.

    Weber Bias Rite

Same as everyone else. Have one, works great, no issues.

    DMX Lighting Controlled via Midi

My band uses 4 LED cans, a fog machine and a LED wash bar all controlled via DMX. We bought an ENTTEC DMXIS unit instead of a light board (link at bottom). We run backing tracks from a laptop running Reaper and the laptop also controls all the midi changes of our rigs. This made integrating the...
