I recently bought an old cab, and met the seller there because he had an appointment to get some work done. I had never heard of the shop before that, but read up when he mentioned it - what a cool discovery!

Anyone have a black one they’re willing to sell? Preferably 2-conductor w/ short legs, but it doesn't really matter.

An M50 was the original donor amp for my MOAB. It sounds absolutely amazing, and I don’t have to feel bad about drilling a nice vintage amp :) If anyone out there is looking for a Marshall to send to @RedPlated , this could be just the thing.

The Granger M50 is a Plexi clone that has a push/pull for “XGAIN” that switches it to cascaded mode.

I haven’t played a ton of different ones, but the MOAB puts a smile on my face every time.

After a bunch of back & forth, this is exactly where I settled. I love the bounce on the Psykes, and decided to keep it in there once I figured out to dial out the diodes. I’m absolutely loving the raw grind with that combo. Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I’ve always found that if I try it again, I end up liking it and not selling it. Funny how revisiting a piece of gear after a while can make it seem fresh :)

+1 for Strymon, mine is going strong and doing a great job. I’ve heard only good things about Cioks, but this Strymon just won’t die so I can replace it :)

Yeah, that’s a good point. I do try to watch all of these types of videos with the application in mind - if there’s a mic on a cab (or an ir) I keep it in the context of if I’m playing through a load box and ir. No different than listening to a guitar sound on an album. Videos like yours, with a...
