There is a reason the straight cabs generally sound better than their angled counterparts.

It would actually be cheaper—and you'd get better results—if you bought a 1959HW (same amp as the Modified) and had a tech mod it properly.

Just look at the gut shot photos. Marshall left out like 75% of the mod. That's why it sounds like crap. A "Jose mod" is more than just...
